When you visit art galleries in New York or Los Angeles or London, you often have to run a gauntlet of haughty gallerinas and beg for information about the show while deflecting “I don’t think you can afford it” glances from the staff.
“Art galleries just usually have a typical vibe to them,” says actor Charles Michael Davis, who first stepped into Atlanta’s Jackson Fine Art when he was in town filming the television series “The Originals.”
“Some galleries you can literally walk in and walk out and they might bat an eye,” says Davis. Jackson, however, is different. “I go there because it’s like family. Whenever I’m in Atlanta, it’s literally one of my stops.” He has since become a frequent visitor, buying seven or eight works from the gallery.
